Palma

28 Cornelia Street
(between 4th Street and Bleecker)

Christmas is here!!!

Love NYC during the holidays!

If you’re looking for a place to celebrate with great Italian food, and you’re in the West Village, Palma is a wonderful option (at least for brunch!).

The service was fantastic, the décor lovely, and the food delicious.

They seated us in their enclosed back garden, which was decorated for the holiday season. It definitely put us in a festive mood.

We had arrived at the end of brunch service (with the kitchen being only open for brunch orders for 10 more minutes), so we quickly placed our order.

I had the Pancetta Eggs Benedict, which was served with a side salad and potatoes. The pancetta and the poached eggs were perfectly cooked, and tasted as good as the photo looks!

My friend had the Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon.

The brunch also included a cocktail. Besides for the regular mimosa and bellini that you would find on most brunch menus, they also offered such exotic offerings such as: a Paloma Greyhound, a Michelada, and a Blood & Sand. I ordered a kir royal, and my friend decided to choose off the brunch menu and ordered a rose (Chiaretto “Rosamara” Costaripa—Lombardia 2013).

Cheers! And Happy Holidays!!
